Cali trip with my man(Featuring Pink Blush)

Jerod and I were able to visit Venice Beach, California this month and we had a blast! It was just the two of us. Jerod’s good friend actually lives near the beach so we were able to stay at his house!

I went to my first comedy show. I had never really had any desire to go to one before but we went with our friends and had a blast!

We ate out a lot and did some shopping on Abbot Kinney! I loved people watching and seeing the fashion there. A lot of women are barely any clothing though… :/

We happened to go during one of the hottest times! There was no A/C at any of the restaurants or along the boardwalk!!!

Pink Blush was sweet enough to send me a gorgeous dress to wear on our Anniversary trip!

The Chiffon dress that I chose was sooooo beautiful, lightweight, and full of color! I LOVE the sleeves and the floral print!!!

I loved walking outside of the house we were staying at because there were walls full of graffiti everywhere!! 

I walked into a fabulous boutique wearing one outfit and came out buying/wearing this one! I am obsessed with this floppy hat!

I love this man so much! He is my rock and my best friend. He also has red hair like our daughter and is the most self-less man I know!
I totally recommend taking the time to re-connect with your husband if at all possible. Yes, it was hard being away from our children for 4 nights BUT it so worth it and much needed!!! I am so thankful for family who stepped up and helped out with our children.

  6. Ah yes, southern California, the land where air conditioning can be hard to find because, hey, that's what the beach breeze is for, right? I grew up in Huntington Beach just about 30 minutes south of Venice, and we didn't have AC either. Open windows and ceiling fans were sufficient except for 1 or 2 weeks out of the year, then I'd want to die. 🙂 Love all the cute outfits!

  7. Love that you guys got to go to CA, even with that crazy hot weather! I felt like my skin was literally burning when I was there. Nonetheless, the beaches and people were so beautiful that it always makes me want to move there. LOVE your outfits and totally appropriate for the weather 🙂
