I had the pleasure of attending my first blog conference last month! I have been blogging a little over 2 years now and I had the best time! What made it even better is that I got to go with my “tribe” and stay at the hotel with them! I only live 15 minutes from the hotel but this girl time was necessary! 🙂
One key ingredient you need in order to grow your blog is COMMUNITY! I would be nowhere without my girls & their expertise and influence!
I think a crucial part in growing is being HELPFUL toward others! It does not matter if that person has 10 followers or 10,000 followers. Every one will always continue to grow. We do not know it all. We will all have certain experiences that will help us grow!
Without community you lack encouragement. Every blogger needs affirmation, constructive criticism, LOVE, and support!
I think developing relationships from the start really sets the tone for your brand. I knew early on when I first started my Instagram account that I wanted to encourage other moms in this motherhood journey, get to know other moms, and work with small shops!
I think developing relationships and really putting yourself out by being vulnerable is super important.
Never sell yourself short, you are worth something, and do not work for free.
Before you can love others though you need to love yourself. If that does not come natural for you then you need to surround yourself with women who can love on you!

Spending time with other like minded bloggers, getting tips, hearing their stories, and getting to really know other “Houston” Bloggers was an amazing experience!
Before the event I knew I wanted the following:
– Comfy clothing
–Stationary and business cards
–lash extensions ( I wanted to try them for my Blog Party and the Conference)
I was able to get some comfortable clothing from Gray Monroe ! The jeans I received are sooooo comfortable and I could literally wear them everyday! They are super stretchy!
I loved my lashes! They added SO much volume to my real lashes! I went to the fabulous Pure Lash Studio ! My lash girl was SO sweet and punctual!

My sweet friend Ash drove all the way from Tennessee to attend this conference and my Blog party!
Needless to say I had the BEST time with some amazing Houston ladies and got to meet some new bloggers as well! The speakers were fabulous, the food was amazing ( especially the spinach artichoke dip!)

So fun! I've never attended a blog conference, I know it would be amazing… There are never any by me though. I'd have to pick one to travel to.
