Planner? No…. work out plan? No…. I need a Savior.
I have wrestled with the thought of coming up with one word for 2017 and what goals I’d like to to achieve in 2017. Only one real thing came to mind. I need more of Jesus. When I fill myself up with more of Him I am content.
I was reminded by a sweet friend of mine the other day about how many times our children cry out for us because they need us. Well we need a Savior. What hope do we have if our hope isn’t in the Lord? How do you get out of bed each day? How to you get over a tragic event in your life? How do you move on from a heartbreaking relationship? How do you find Joy in the midst of a miscarriage? The Answer my friends is Jesus. At least for me it is.
He is the only reason I am able to do what I do. Y’all our hearts are restless until we rest with God. You might ask me how do I accomplish everything in a single day aside from being a full time teacher? I rest with God. I take time daily to be still with Him. That time could be in the form of scripture reading, singing songs to him, or praying. It doesn’t matter how long it is. No one is timing you to make sure you’ve had enough time with Him daily. He just wants YOUR TIME.
Remember this, We need a Savior not a self- improvement plan.
Also, mamas remember you are amazing. Don’t work yourself up trying to fit everything into 1 day. If the dishes aren’t done or the laundry is piling up over your dog in the closet don’t stress. Tend to the things that really matter. I need to get better at prioritizing. When I put Christ first y’all I feel my day runs SO much smoother!!!!!

YOU MEAN SOMETHING.
YOU ARE IMPORTANT.
YOU ARE STRONG.
YOU WERE MADE IN THE IMAGE OF GOD.

So true we need more of Him, not just as our firefighter rescuer, that we call upon only in times of emergency but in our daily lives! We need more of our Savior, of our Father!
