Thank you Orangetheory Fitness for sponsoring this post.
I never had to worry about my weight my entire life. I was extremely skinny and basically just meat and bones as some would say. I played every sport I could and was just naturally little and tall. It wasn’t until after I had kids did I start to see skin that wasn’t going anywhere. After having 3 children this past March was the first time in over 8 years I worked out consistently thanks to Orangetheory. I was invited to do the 8 week transformation challenge and was super excited!
I was excited and nervous. I had never devoted myself to something like this before. I would have to give up an hour of my day. I would be doing this for myself. I needed to do this. I was stuck in a place where I knew I could get out of. I just needed something like this challenge to get me off of my feet.
I went in full force, worked really hard, met my expectations, earned at least 12 splat points every single time, and gained muscle! I did lose weight, 3 pounds over the course of 8 weeks.
Did I get down on that number? Yes. Is it just a number? Yes. Does muscle way more than fat? Yes. Was this a weight loss competition? NO.

and the way I looked at the end of the challenge:
That is one up close and personal photo of my stomach. The stomach that has CARRIED THREE BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN. I will not be ashamed for the jiggly skin or the tiger marks!
I love this quote:
“I have a belly. And I have cellulite. And I still deserve love.” –Amy Schumer
I knew these things going into this challenge.
- I wanted to learn to maintain healthy habits
- I wanted to be consistent in my work outs.
- I wanted to prove to myself I COULD DO THIS.
- I wanted to get stronger.
I honestly believe I met all of these goals I gave myself. I absolutely LOVED OTF and would recommend it to anyone regardless of where you are at on your fitness journey! You can go in being a walker, jogger, or runner. Your trainer is amazing and that was probably my favorite thing about the challenge.
I loved being able to ask any questions, they showed me if I was doing something incorrectly and how to fix it, and they encouraged me to not give up!
This transformation challenge not only helped me to see that I COULD DO IT but that I am stronger than I think! I would highly recommend finding where the nearest OTF is and signing up for a FREE CLASS!
I may not have lost a ton of weight but transforming my mind was worth it!

Yes Girl!! I love my body cause it’s the one God gave me. ☺️ We gotta take care and it and love ourselves before we can truly love others. Perfectly imperfect.

Hey you look great and it appears that it paid off. And your attitude is healthy. You did it for yourself and not to impress anyone else. Keep up with the good work.
